Interview by Diario Fuerteventura

The article in the Diario de Fuerteventura highlights the launch of the book “Verses, Songs and Poems I Kept in a Drawer” by Ana María Guerra, a popular poet from Villaverde, as part of the “Wings of Memory” project coordinated by María Sanz Esteve and Dunes Films; this project seeks to record the oral history of Fuerteventura, promote intergenerational dialogue and create a public archive of testimonies, and in this context, Ana María’s book, discovered thanks to interviews conducted by young people like Ciro Fernández, rescues both traditional couplets and ballads as well as original poems by the author, offering a chronicle in verse of the daily life and culture of her people.
